Bloom Even When You Are Broken
Have you been broken? You can bloom again.
All of us have dreams.
Sometimes it’s just the American dream. Marriage, children, a great job, a house. A puppy.
You don’t have to live very long before a dream dies or things go terribly wrong. And that’s never fun. Sometimes we even get mad and wonder where God is.
Listen to what Habakkuk said. :
“O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise”
The world is messed up and things go wrong.
Romans 8:22, “For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.”
That is what my husband calls groaning 101. We groan because things are not the way God made them.
Yet God made promises to us like Romans 8:28.
Rom. 8:22 ” we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
God had a plan and if you recognize that, you can bloom again.
I have Deborah Malone today and she had written Blooming in Broken Places. She will share how she was broken but now blooms.
