Alexandria & Roberto

- When I stand at the foot of the cross, I keep my balance. I know I'm a sinner, but I
remember that I'm loved and forgiven.
I'm a native of Chattanooga, and a graduate of Tennessee Temple High School. After
I completed Erlanger School of Nursing, I worked at T.C. Thompson's Children's
Hospital. In 1978 I married Ray Simmons and moved to the Atlanta area.
For over twenty years I've been teaching as both a homeschool mother of five and as
a Bible teacher. In addition to growing orchids and playing the piano, I love to research
history. The lively stories I unearth become part of my Bible lessons.
My youngest child, Caleb, suffers with a form of autism. I went to special education
classes so I could homeschool him as well. An article on his life appeared in the January
2008 issue of Georgia Right to Life News.
I'm active in Christian Authors Guild (CAG) and currently serve as President.
My work also appears in CAG's anthologies: The Desk in the Attic, No Small
Miracles, and Inspirations from the Heart: Devotions from the Christian Authors Guild.
I have written for Chattanooga Regional Historical Journal, Chattanooga Times Free
Press, NATHHAN NEWS, Georgia Right to Life News, and Catholic Exchange.
